ORLANDO - Unable to recover from a lackluster first half, Temple men's basketball fell 77-53 at UCF (11-3, 2-0) in a New Year's Eve road game. The Owls (9-6, 0-2) rebounded from an 11-point first half to outscore the Knights 42-39 in the second, but had fallen in far too deep a hole by halftime.
Sophomore scored a team-high 16 points for Temple, while senior added 11. Freshman came off the bench for a team-best seven rebounds to go with seven points, and tied his season-high with a game-high four steals.
UCF got 17 points apiece from Matt Williams and Tacko Fall.
