PHILADELPHIA - After a banner year on the strip and a stellar year in the classroom, the Temple fencing team has been earned USFCA All-Academic recognition. 13 of the team's fencers were named to the All-Academic Team and seven were named Scholars of Distinction.
The USFCA recognizes individual student-athletes and teams on the basis of their combined Fall and Spring semester GPAs. The USFCA All-Academic Team includes 392 student-athletes with 240 receiving recognition as Scholars of Distinction. All-Academic Team honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher.
