PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's rowing senior Elaine Tierney earned a spot on the USRowing U23 National Team on Tuesday, June 15 at the team trials held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida.
Tierney will represent the U.S. at the World Championships held on July 7-11 in Racice, Czech Republic.
"I'm so excited and honored to be able to row for the USA. This has been a goal of mine for several years but would not have been possible if my coaches had not showed me that I could do it," said Tierney. "I am grateful for all the support my coaches, teammates, friends and family have given me and for all of the opportunities that have come my way.
