PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball trio of Mia Davis, Ashley Jones and Marissa Mackins were honored with Philadelphia Big 5 awards, as announced by the league Friday.
Davis highlighted the awards for the Owls as she was named the Big 5 Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Big 5 First Team. The junior captain finished the season averaging 18.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. Davis recorded 18 double-doubles, which ranked sixth in the country. The Baltimore, Md. native adds her Big 5 honors to a year full of accolades, including USBWA All-American Honorable Mention, Cheryl Miller Award Top 10 Finalist and First Team All-American Athletic Conference.
