NEWPORT, R.I. - The American Athletic Conference has announced the 2019 preseason poll. Temple was ranked as the fourth team in the East division and seventh overall in the conference.
UCF and Memphis were ranked first and second respectively in the preseason poll. In the East division, Temple was ranked behind UCF, Cincinnati, and USF.
The favorite in the American Athletic Conference preseason media poll has ended up winning the conference title twice in the league's first six seasons.
UCF received 12 of a possible 30 votes to win the league title, while the Knights were listed first on 19 ballots in the East Division race.
