COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Temple women's basketball head coach, Tonya Cardoza, was named to the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee, which will select coaches and athletes for various USA Basketball teams for the 2017-2020 quadrennium.
Cardoza, the all-time winningest head coach in Temple women's basketball history, has previous experience with USA Basketball, serving as a court coach 2016 USA Women's U18 National Team Trials. At Temple, Cardoza has led the Owls to three-straight 20-win seasons, hitting the mark in seven of her nine seasons at the helm. This year, she led the Owls to a 24-8 overall record, a national ranking, and an NCAA Tournament bid.
