PHILADELPHIA -- Sophomore Alliya Butts and junior Feyonda Fitzgerald represented the Temple women's basketball team with regular-season honors, as announced by the American Athletic Conference on Thursday. Butts was named to the all-conference first team, while Fitzgerald picked up a second team selection.
Butts becomes the first Temple women's basketball player in program history to earn first-team honors in the American Athletic Conference. The last time any Temple player garnered a first-team selection in any conference was Shey Peddy who got a first-team All-Atlantic 10 nod in 2012. Butts leads the Owls in scoring, averaging 15.
