PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team closed out its six-game homestand with a dominating win over La Salle Tuesday afternoon, defeating the Explorers 16-9. With the win, the Owls improve to 3-3 while La Salle falls to 1-3.
Recapping the Game
> Temple struck first before La Salle took its lone lead of the game with a pair of goals from Bridget Ruskey.
> The Owls evened the score and pulled ahead on a goal from Jen Rodzewich, but the Explorers closed the gap at 3-3.
> Three goals on free position shots gave Temple a 6-3 lead, but two quick goals from the Explorers put the score at 6-5 at the break.
