PHILADELPHIA – Center Shannen Atkinson was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the first time in her career after averaging 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds across two games.
Atkinson registered 10 points and eight rebounds against North Carolina and recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to Creighton. Atkinson was named to the Cancun Challenge Riviera Division All-Tournament Team after her performance over the two-game stretch.
