PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After an impressive performance in leading Temple men's basketball to an 83-77 win against Yale on Dec. 22, freshman Alani Moore II has been named the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. The honor is the third for the Owls this season, with freshman Quinton Rose having been selected twice.
Moore scored a career- and game-high 26 points against Yale, hitting his first four three-point attempts (4-of-8 overall) and his first 10 free-throw attempts (10-of-11 overall). His efforts at the stripe helped the Owls finish at 28-of-30 overall, with that 93.
