PHILADELPHIA – Temple Men's Basketball will honor the anniversaries of two of its five NCAA Elite Eight teams under Hall of Fame head coach John Chaney this Saturday at halftime of the Owls game against Tulsa (2 p.m./ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT).
Last season would have marked the 20th anniversary of the 2000-01 team and the 30th anniversary of the 1990-91 squad, both of which defied the odds with incredible postseason runs that fell just short of the Final Four. The celebration was postponed to this season since fans were not allowed to attend games in 2020-21 for health and safety concerns.
