My pal and former SportsDay colleague, Chip Brown, breaks a lot of stories on Texas, though few as fascinating as his revelation that the Longhorns would go 12-1 last season in Tom Herman's debut. He broke that story, all right. Shattered it, you might say.
"Not even my first marriage," Chip wrote last week for 247Sports.com, "was that far off."
Moral: As long as we can retain our sense of humor in times like these, we can get through anything. Even 7-6.
