FORT WORTH - If Oklahoma manages to put together that special season that coach Lincoln Riley says is still possible, the past two weeks will mark a crucial chapter.
Between a searing Oct. 6 loss to Texas and a 52-27 win over TCU, Oklahoma went through several emotional upheavals in the biggest test for Riley since he replaced Bob Stoops. Defensive coordinator Mike Stoops was fired and Ruffin McNeill promoted. Cornerback Tre Brown lost his mother with about 15 players attending the funeral in Tulsa, some serving as pall bearers.
