Big 12 football media days Monday and Tuesday have a new location (The Star in Frisco) and a new built-in storyline (the return of the title game).
And yes, the two are linked. The Big 12's title game will be returning to AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys' home wasn't available for media days, so instead the Big 12 is trekking to Jerry Jones' $1.5 billion team headquarters and practice facility.
The conference hopes a round-robin schedule coupled with a title game will give its champion a College Football Playoff-worthy résumé. Of course, given the Big 12's luck, the trendiest 2017 prediction -- outside of Alabama winning the SEC again -- is for the conference champion to be bumped from the CFP by a title-game loss.
