The TCU-SMU football game tonight won’t kick off until 8:45 p.m., at the earliest.
The teams are in a lengthy delay with lightning in the area of Gerald J. Ford Stadium. An official start time has not been announced. Original kick off was set for 7 p.m.
Lightning must be out of an eight-mile radius of the stadium for at least 30 minutes before teams can take the field. Each team wants about 30 minutes to warm up. Teams have yet to take the field as of 8 p.m.
