One of the nation's most tenured coaches wouldn't mind an expanded version of the College Football Playoff.
During an interview with The Ticket's "The Musers" on Wednesday morning, TCU coach Gary Patterson said he's a "big advocate" for the CFP growing from the current four-team format to six or eight teams.
"I just think there's enough parity that any of those six to eight can beat anybody on any given day," Patterson said.
The TCU coach who has won 149 games in 17 seasons said he initially didn't feel that way about CFP expansion.
But it's worth noting that the TCU's conference, the Big 12, hasn't had a CFP representative in two of the first three installments.
