TCU's 63-0 blowout of Jackson State didn't 'fire up' head coach Gary Patterson, but this might...

The Frogs' start on defense was lackluster, even though TCU eventually turned up the heat. After JSU drove the ball down to TCU's 5-yard line, Patterson said he needed to make adjustments.

"I started calling [defensive] plays quicker which let [our guys] adjust better," Patterson said.

"After JSU's first drive I told my guys that there's nobody that you can just roll out there and beat," Patterson said.

As previously mentioned, the defense rebounded. TCU allowed the Tigers only 65 yards on the night in a suffocating and dominant performance.

Patterson also emphasized how important it was to his second- and third-stringers to not let JSU score.
