If there was any position on defense that took a beating during TCU football's injury-ridden 2018 season, look no further than safety.
The Horned Frogs were down as many as seven safeties in late October, per head coach Gary Patterson, after names among the likes of Niko Small, Innis Gaines and others were either temporarily sidelined or lost for the season.
Five months later in spring practice, the experience on the depth chart is still shallow at safety.
