TCU RB Kyle Hicks could miss season opener

It’s finally game week, a week we have all been waiting for, but the Frogs may have to wait a little longer to see their starting running back get on the field.

Gary Patterson revealed on the Big 12 conference call Monday that Kyle Hicks may not play Saturday, when the Frogs open the season against Jackson State. Patterson noted that Hicks has been a little banged up, which could be reason enough to hold him out of the first game of the season.

That would leave Darius Anderson and Sewo Olonilua, two capable backs, to shoulder the load in Hicks’ absence.
