Late Saturday night, the TCU Horned Frogs felt a lot better about themselves than they did on a Saturday night a year earlier.
The scoreboard showed a 63-0 victory against Jackson State.
Which reads much different than a 59-41 victory against South Dakota State.
That was the final last year in TCU’s season-opener, a high-stress shootout that was a four-point game in the fourth quarter and required the starters to play the entire game in what was supposed to be a warmup act.
This year, the warmup act hardly required anybody to break a sweat.
