Making preseason predictions for the College Football Playoff field -- or should we say at least going 4-for-4 -- is a tricky business. But Phil Steele isn't showing any hesitation when it comes to identifying dark horse bets to win it all in 2019.
And this year's list includes a pair of Big 12 schools.
TCU and Oklahoma both found themselves on Steele's list of dark horse bets to win the 2019 national championship, though the Horned Frogs -- sitting at 250-1 odds to win the national title -- sit miles away form the Sooners, who have qualified for the playoff three of the last four seasons and still own respectable odds at 14-1.
