TCU football head coach Gary Patterson announced during his radio show Thursday that offensive guard Cordel Iwuagwu sustained a new injury in practice this week, while safety Niko Small is set to return Saturday vs. Kansas after missing the past three games.

Both Iwuagwu and Small sustained injuries during TCU's 31-16 loss to Texas on Sept. 22 and haven't seen playing time since. Patterson said on Tuesday that Iwuagwu was likely to return to action against Kansas on Saturday, but that now appears to be uncertain -- if not unlikely -- after the latest updates on Thursday.
