A sophomore QB at Media Day?... leave it to GP to make that call because of superstition.
But coach Gary Patterson explained his reasoning behind having Robinson attend media day during his foundation’s fundraiser on Monday night.
”Two years ago, I didn’t send Kenny [Hill] and we didn’t play very well,” Patterson said. “Last year, I sent Kenny Hill and we played well. So I said I’m not waiting two years for a quarterback to play well ‘cause I’m superstitious, so we’re going to send Shawn.”
Patterson might have tipped his hand in this regard, especially if you look at how other schools did it.
