TCU offered Watson following his freshman season at Hutto. The Frogs were seemingly out of the race to land Watson until he dropped his final 6 list which included TCU. TCU was the only program in Texas to be listed in the final six schools.
A three-year starter at Hutto, Watson has been a defensive force in each of his three seasons. In total he has collected 143 tackles with 41 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks. His best season came his sophomore season when he totaled 55 tackles with 20 tackles for loss and 7.
