Hicks averaged 6.9 yards per carry against WVU, and was the sole spark of the offense. He only had 15 carries, however. Although the Frogs were down in the second half and needed to score quickly, which could've been the reason for preferring the pass, Hicks did not get enough carries. He's been a steady star all year, and not relying on him against the Mountaineers cost TCU.
It was the largest margin of defeat TCU has suffered since joining the conference, one point worse than a 30-7 loss to Texas in 2013.
