Brian Howard pitched an absolute gem of a game, befuddling the Oklahoma State hitters over 7.0 innings. Cam Warner, Evan Skoug, and Ryan Merrill had nice games at the dish to back him up. Ultimately, the most important thing is the health of the Cowboys’ Jon Littell, who took the brunt of a brutal collision in the outfield.
“I feel like I gave the team a chance to win, which was huge for me,” said Howard, who was 1-2 with two no decisions and a 9.00 ERA in his previous five starts.
