The Frogs had just seven scholarship players for the second game in a row, and it showed. They fought hard, but were worn down at the end against the onslaught of fresh bodies WVU threw at them.
“I would say they probably wore us down, but, again, they beat us in pretty much every category,” TCU coach Jamie Dixon said. “They just turned the tables on the other game, to be honest with you. We could probably switch the box scores.”
West Virginia’s bench outscored TCU’s 38-8, including 16 points from freshman Teddy Allen.
