Holmes was all set to go to Central Arkansas, but a family illness made him reconsider his options. TCU offered him on a Friday, after he received his release from Central Arkansas, and by Saturday, he was a Frog.
Holmes originally signed with FCS program Central Arkansas in February. Holmes was excited to have the opportunity to play for the Bears but when he discovered his grandmother had health issues he started to rethink his future.
It was then that Holmes knew he couldn’t be far away from his family.
