Even with the Big 12's top defense, stopping Oklahoma and prohibitive Heisman favorite Baker Mayfield was always going to be a chore for TCU.
The task became harder on Sunday.
The Big 12 announced that TCU safety Nick Orr will be suspended for the first half of Saturday's Big 12 title at AT&T Stadium for his part in the third-quarter altercation with Baylor. After an internal review, the conference determined that Orr threw punches at opposing players, a flagrant personal foul.
Baylor's JaMycal Hasty (one half) and D.J. Artis (one game) also received suspensions. But since the Baylor season is over, those won't matter until Baylor's 2018 conference opener against Kansas.
