TCU senior linebacker Ty Summers was named a semifinalist on Thursday for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, the team announced in a release.
Summers was among 20 players still in the running for the award -- named in honor of the former Dallas Cowboys tight end and established during the 2017 season -- that recognizes the Division I college football player who has best demonstrated "a record of leadership by exhibiting exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field." Former Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin was presented with the inaugural award in February.
