TCU ace Jared Janczak has begun a rehab throwing program but probably will not pitch before the end of the regular season, coach Jim Schlossnagle said.
The sophomore right-hander has missed his last two starts with a shoulder strain.
“In my mind, right now, to think he would pitch before the conference tournament is probably a pipe dream,” Schlossnagle said Tuesday night following TCU’s 3-0 victory against Abilene Christian. “It’d be awesome if he could get an inning in the Cal series. But we’re not even close to him long-tossing or really putting something on the baseball yet.
