TCU’s bowl wishes weren’t the only thing that came true Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Jay Favors, a 19-year-old from Round Rock who was paralyzed after a head-on collision with another player during a game, fulfilled his dream of becoming a member of the Horned Frog family.
Coach Gary Patterson and the school partnered with Make-A-Wish North Texas to make it a reality. Favors, who dreamed of playing for the Horned Frogs in his younger years, had a behind-the-scenes tour of TCU’s football facility this summer and attended the Frogs’ 31-24 victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday.
