Sunday, the Frogs fell to 11th in the AP and 14th in the Coaches Poll (one spot behind Oklahoma State, who they beat and who also lost to Oklahoma, because the coaches poll is dumb) after their thrashing at the hands of the Sooners in Norman. On Tuesday, they settled in at #12 in the only poll that matters, the College Football Playoff Poll. They trail Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USC, all whom have two losses and very few quality wins between them.
The Frogs, who still mostly (I think) control their own destiny when it comes to making the Big 12 Championship Game (barring some insanity, which is always possible) are all but eliminated from the CFP but are still in relatively good shape when it comes to the New Year’s Six series.
