UPDATE (8:20 p.m., Aug. 18): TCU head coach Gary Patterson has seen enough injuries as a head coach not to panic, even with the loss of a very good player.
Sophomore defensive tackle Ross Blacklock was lost for the season last week with a non-contact Achilles' tendon injury.
"Obviously, it's a big loss ... the bottom line is they expect us to win ballgames," said Patterson, whose team picked third in the Big 12 preseason poll. "Sometimes your chemistry gets better when you lose somebody because your ranks draw closer. We'll see if this group does that.
