TCU sophomore Desmond Bane is recovering from a reconstruction of a ligament in his left thumb, the team announced Friday.
He suffered the injury in offseason workouts and underwent surgery Tuesday, assistant director of communications Steven Schoon said.
Bane was wearing a cast during a rally Thursday in downtown Fort Worth. He will wear it for four weeks and resume practice four weeks after that, Schoon said.

Bane became a significant contributor down the stretch in the Frogs’ NIT championship season, starting the final four games of the tournament, because of a broken hand suffered by Jaylen Fisher.
