TCU basketball scores commitment from Xavier transfer Keonte Kennedy

TCU men's basketball is starting to fill the void that has been generated by a string of departures since the start of 2019.

The Horned Frogs scored a commitment from Xavier transfer Keonte Kennedy on Sunday evening, as announced on Kennedy's Twitter account.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Austin played in 22 games as a freshman for the Musketeers last season, averaging 2 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. He had a season-high 8 points vs. Illinois in the Maui Invitational last December -- a game in which he also saw a season-high 25 minutes.

Prior to his time at Xavier, Kennedy attended Westlake High School in Austin, where he earned a 3-star rating in the 247Sports Composite.
