TCU would survive Belmont’s best shot in the second half, en route to an 87-76 victory on Wednesday night. It was TCU’s first game as a ranked team since 2014, and Dixon said the Frogs handled it well.
“For us it’s big, there’s no question. It’s another step, another obstacle, because you can’t rest on it, you’ve got to get through it and get better because of it,” Dixon said, “But it’s good for us.”
After pulling ahead by as many as 21 in the first half, TCU would watch their led dissolve in the second half, behind some seriously impressive shooting from Belmont.
