TCU came into Lubbock down five starters, including three on defense, and limped its way to victory to claim the West Texas championship. Shawn Robinson showed why he was so highly rated coming out of Desoto with some shifty runs and a few well-thrown passes, but made several freshman mistakes as he put the ball on the ground a few times, missed a few reads on option plays, and overthrew a couple of receivers (although the latter could be partially blamed on the 40mph wind gusts). TCU fans should be excited about the future with Robinson behind center.
