TCU didn’t wait until the extra innings to score today, striking for six runs in the third and five in the sixth to dispatch the Wildcats 12-4 on a Sweep Sunday. The Wildcats had a first of their own, as they put up their first runs of the weekend in the fourth, though they wouldn’t be nearly enough.
Brian Howard started the game, and unlike his two predecessors, gave up an early hit to the Wildcats. Though he would pitch himself into trouble a couple times in the first three innings, he kept KSU off the board until the fourth, after his teammates had already built a big lead behind him.
