FORT WORTH -- TCU football could have thrown in the towel after falling to as low as a tie for last place in the Big 12 standings on Oct. 27. Instead, the Horned Frogs won for the third time in four games and clinched bowl eligibility as they held on for an 31-24 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Despite being down to third-string quarterback Grayson Muehlstein -- making his first ever start under center for the Horned Frogs -- it didn't stop an injury-rattled TCU team from scoring 30 points in Big 12 play for the first time all season.
