Rice football setting up shop at TCU in aftermath of Harvey

The Rice football team will be waiting out the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Fort Worth at TCU, the Owls announced Monday morning.

In a statement by the team, Rice officials said the team is scheduled to arrive at D/FW International Airport around 2 p.m. and set up temporary headquarters at TCU.

Baylor and SMU had also offered to help Rice out.

Rice is returning from Australia, where the Owls lost to No. 14 Stanford 62-7. The team landed in Los Angels before starting its final leg of travel back to Texas.

Houston and other parts of the Texas Gulf Coast have faced merciless rains and flooding from Hurricane Harvey.
