Is it the Sonny Dykes effect?
The former Cal coach signed on to join the TCU staff as an advisor, and immediately drew attention from a pair of west coast preps. One of those players committed to TCU Wednesday, as guard Quazzel White joined the Frog fam all the way from Tacoma Washington.
White, who stands 6’3.5” inches and weighs in at over 300 pounds, adds much needed size to a unit that struggled in 2016 to protect the quarterback and dominate in the run game. A three star prospect, Quazzel held nine offers, and was committed to Mike Leach’s Washington State team since November.
