Collectively, TCU is expected to have a solid men’s basketball season after snapping a 20-year NCAA Tournament drought last season.
Individually, though, the Frogs aren’t getting much love.
TCU had just one player named when the Big 12 released the conference’s preseason honors on Wednesday. Point guard Alex Robinson made the “honorable mention” list.
Kansas State’s Dean Wade was named the preseason Big 12 player of the year, and Kansas’ Dedric Lawson was named newcomer of the year. Freshman of the year honors went to Kansas’ Quentin Grimes.
