Gary Patterson didn't hold back last Saturday after TCU fell to Oklahoma, lambasting the officiating crew for a controversial intentional grounding call late in the game and Sooner quarterback Baker Mayfield for comments the player made in an ESPN article over the summer.
But that changed Tuesday during the weekly press conference, when Patterson spoke unprompted by media members on the comments he made postgame.
"One of the things that makes me good at what I do is that I'm passionate about how I do things -- how I coach and how I play," Patterson said.
