Amy Okonkwo was cooking off the bench in Fort Worth Wednesday night, dropping a career-high 31 points and grabbing seven rebounds as the TCU women’s basketeball team eased past Hampton, 90-68.
TCU (9-2) came out firing in the first half, shooting 62 percent from the floor and 8-of-12 from beyond the arc. Guard Amber Ramirez continued her offensive rhythm from behind the arc - scoring 18 points on six three-pointers. Freshman Lauren Heard added a season-high 15 points off the bench.
This 9-2 nonconference run is the best the Frogs have seen since 2003.
