Former TCU tennis star Cameron Norrie, who turned professional at the end of the collegiate season in the spring, will be playing in his second consecutive Grand Slam tournament main draw.
In July, Norrie received a wild card entry for the main draw at Wimbledon from the tournament organizers. He faced the No. 12 seed, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and was eliminated 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.
This time around, Norrie had to do a little more to earn his spot in the main draw. First, Norrie won the singles title at the Binghamton Challenger in July, which bumped up his ranking enough to secure a spot in the US Open qualifiers.
