When you think prep baseball talent, West Jordan Utah isn’t exactly the first locale that comes to mind. That was true for Bill Mosiello, too, who happened upon the third baseman during an Arizona showcase and quickly became enthralled by his potential, sitting on him across multiple games.

He came back raving about the skinny kid from the Beehive State.

“Bill was very impressed by Brayden,” then TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle told Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram back in April. “He felt like Brayden was going to have an impact, but I don’t think anyone could have foreseen the power numbers [as a freshman].
