Gary Patterson will not name a starting quarterback until the fall but that QB will have big shoes to fill. Trevone Boykin was considered a Heisman Trophy contender right up until his interception-filled final game of the regular season. Now the new quarterback will have to live up to his standards.
If anyone can do that it is sophomore quarterback Foster Sawyer. He has the stereotypical quarterback build at 6-foot-5 but most importantly he has the experience at TCU to step in and be a major contributor right away and possibly compete for the Heisman himself.
