FORT WORTH - This qualifies as a perplexing situation for TCU.
If defensive end Ben Banogu continues his stout play, that improves the fourth-ranked Frogs' chances of winning the Big 12 championship. In his first season at TCU (6-0, 3-0 in the Big 12), Banogu has emerged as a key piece in a disruptive front that goes after woebegone Kansas (1-5, 0-3) on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
"We wouldn't be where we are now without him," TCU coach Gary Patterson said.
The flip side is that if Banogu stays on the rise, he could be a one-and-done player.
