Their 2017 TV ratings continue to rank far behind recent seasons. Sunday's Cowboys thumping of the San Francisco 49ers scored a season-low 25.2 rating in Dallas-Fort Worth.
The 3 p.m. kickoff on Fox (Ch. 4) was also worse than any game last season.
The last time the Cowboys scored as low as a 25.2 was the Thanksgiving game in 2015 against the Carolina Panthers. Note, however, Thanksgiving always scores low in ratings because so many people are out of their homes and watching in groups. Ratings are the percentage of homes with televisions in the market tuned into shows.
